Day 1 of No Supervision
For undisclosed reasons, I will be fully unsupervised for the next three weeks (and some change). During this time, I am going to try to get my shit together, whatever that means.
Actually, here's what that means:
- Finish reading "Getting Things Done" by David Allen and devise a plan for implementing what I've learned (I've already started this but stopped many times...) (this will be tagged with "GTD")
- Cleaning and re-organizing my apartment
- Decorating my apartment (within a reasonable budget)
- Finding a meal prep style (and recipes) that I actually like and can sustain (Must be: plant-based, cheap, tasty, and easy to store/prep)
- Organize a digital space for me to start writing again (Probably in Obsidian)
- Start writing again
- Create a scheduled plan for cross stitching (or needle punching) holiday presents
- Create those holiday presents
- Try to learn some Korean (I have a YT playlist saved somewhere for this)
- Find Korean podcasts or shows that I like so I can try to actually keep it up.
- Figure out my skin color palette (according to beauty gurus on the internet)
- Figure out a capsule wardrobe so I can dress my age and not like I'm still in college
- Figure out a skincare routine that doesn't break the bank or my skin barrier
- This one should actually go first but I screwed myself over with the numbered list and I'm not going to re-number them all: get my finances in order by actually listening to my accountant and doing what he says lol.
- Organize my work file and email folders to match my project management tool folders/lists
I think now's as good a time as any to develop a moderately healthy caffeine addiction, don't you? (Joking...but also not)
Anyways, today (day 1; after work) will be dedicated to mapping out what this could look like. Some important dates/things for me to keep in mind:
- Black Friday = 28 Nov so I will probably be decorating after then (also see: capsule wardrobe/skincare purchases (if any)/makeup purchases (if any))
- Organizing my space should be early on the schedule because that will help make it easier for me to get everything else done
- Determining which time of day (and which day of the week) suits certain tasks better has the potential to help immensely
- Similarly, determining which tasks take how much energy would probably up my success rate
- I need to schedule breaks also or I will not survive this attempt.
